A Good, Sturdy Fixed Blade knife for under $50?
I want a Ka-Bar style combat-made sheath knife. Straight, maybe serrated, just good for the outdoors. Very good if made in the USA, preferrably NOT china because china makes crap. The best sites to buy? What brand? I'm thinking Ka-Bar, but I'm open to other companies. I also would like it if the blade came sharp....
Oh- and I'm also under 18 and live in Jersey, which is a recipe for disaster with all the legal things. So if you could avoid giving me a 20 inch Rambo knife, that would be good. Best to keep it 10 inches and under.
My ultimate wish- although it's kind of parodoxical- is to have a hollow-handle one to store stuff in. Not the crap Rambo-like ones that are made in China. Like a legit one that's actually made for the outdoors. Even just a compass on the end. But I'm perfectly fine with just getting a normal sheath knife.

What does everyone here think about the Jeep survival knife?( Sportsauthority)
Ka-bar is the good choice I like the Marine commemorative, most army navy supply stores carry the brand. Hollow handle knives usually mean also that the strength of the blade is shortened. I don't recommend those styles. Besides the compass is so small it's not even really useful and the stuff you would store in the handle can be better stored elsewhere. A good bowie style is also a good choice and many brands are out there I have a Winchester commemorative Bowie in a custom leather double sheath that also holds a small skinner blade as well, looks totally mountain man style.
